Cryptocurrency markets saw broad gains overnight, with Bitcoin climbing 1.67% to $65,290.41 and Ethereum rising 2.82% to $1,929.99, according to TokenPost Market data. The total crypto market cap reached $2.24 trillion, while 24-hour trading volume hit $71.34 billion.

Altcoins and Market Dominance

Most top altcoins traded higher, with XRP up 2.03%, Solana gaining 1.05%, and Hyperliquid surging 5.22%. BNB was flat near zero change, while Tron and Dogecoin posted modest gains. Bitcoin's market dominance edged up 0.13 percentage points to 58.43%, and Ethereum's share rose 0.14 points to 10.39%, indicating capital concentration in large-cap assets.

DeFi and Stablecoin Divergence

The DeFi sector underperformed, with its market cap at $68.14 billion and a 24-hour decline of 5.28%. In contrast, stablecoin activity strengthened: total market cap stood at $281.86 billion, and 24-hour trading volume jumped 5.55% to $73.93 billion. The rise in stablecoin volume suggests an increase in short-term standby capital awaiting deployment.

Derivatives and Market Outlook

Derivatives trading also picked up, with 24-hour volume reaching $787.01 billion, up 7.51% from the previous day. The combined uptick in spot and derivatives activity points to growing demand for hedging short-term price volatility. Analysts note that Bitcoin and Ethereum's rising dominance, alongside stablecoin inflows, could signal further buying pressure ahead.
