Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) announced Thursday it will launch a paid API providing Wall Street firms with the fastest possible access to posts from President Donald Trump and other influential Truth Social accounts. The service, called Truth API, is designed for high-frequency and algorithmic trading firms that require machine-readable, low-latency data feeds. It is scheduled to become available to institutional customers on August 1, 2026.
The company explicitly markets the API as a tool for capturing market-moving content, noting that posts from Trump's account have already influenced financial markets, particularly during the US-Iran conflict. Other major accounts include Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and FBI Director Kash Patel. TMTG interim CEO Kevin McGurn stated that the API delivers a direct, licensed, real-time feed of the platform's most impactful posts, monetizing proprietary assets through a high-margin recurring revenue stream.
McGurn also addressed past attempts by firms to scrape Truth Social data in violation of its terms of service. He said the company plans to create friction for unauthorized data access, pushing firms toward the official paid API. The move signals TMTG's strategy to turn political and social media influence into a direct revenue source from the financial industry.
