Are there any digital currencies that use the pence symbol?
I'm curious to know if there are any digital currencies that use the pence symbol. As we know, the pence symbol (£) is used to represent the subunit of the British pound. Since digital currencies have their own unique symbols, I wonder if there are any that have adopted the pence symbol or something similar to represent a smaller denomination. Can anyone shed some light on this?

- Martens HolcombJul 16, 2024 · 2 years agoNo, currently there are no digital currencies that use the pence symbol. Digital currencies, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, have their own symbols and do not adopt symbols from traditional currencies. The pence symbol (£) is specific to the British pound and is not widely used outside of the UK. However, it's worth noting that digital currencies can be divided into smaller units, similar to pence, but they are usually represented by decimal places or other symbols.
- NawaMay 29, 2024 · 2 years agoI haven't come across any digital currencies that use the pence symbol. Most digital currencies have their own unique symbols or abbreviations. For example, Bitcoin is represented by the symbol BTC, Ethereum by ETH, and so on. These symbols are widely recognized in the cryptocurrency community. While the pence symbol (£) is commonly used in the UK, it is not commonly associated with digital currencies.
