Are there any free platforms for backtesting cryptocurrency trading algorithms?
Can you recommend any free platforms that can be used for backtesting cryptocurrency trading algorithms? I'm looking for a platform that allows me to test my trading strategies using historical data without having to pay for a subscription or purchase expensive software. It would be great if the platform also provides access to a wide range of cryptocurrencies and allows me to customize parameters such as trading fees and slippage. Any suggestions?

- Tsubasa OozoraSep 03, 2023 · 3 years agoYes, there are several free platforms available for backtesting cryptocurrency trading algorithms. One popular option is TradingView, which offers a wide range of technical analysis tools and allows users to backtest their strategies using historical data. Another option is QuantConnect, which provides a cloud-based platform for algorithmic trading and backtesting. Both platforms offer free plans with limited features, but they should be sufficient for most individual traders. Keep in mind that while these platforms are free to use, they may have limitations in terms of data availability and customization options.

Coinigy provides access to historical data for a wide range of cryptocurrencies and allows users to test their strategies using various indicators and parameters. Another option is Backtrader, an open-source framework that supports backtesting and live trading for multiple asset classes, including cryptocurrencies. It's free to use and offers a lot of flexibility in terms of strategy development and customization.
