Can I use TD Ameritrade as a direct access broker to trade popular cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum?
Is it possible to use TD Ameritrade as a direct access broker to trade popular cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum? I'm interested in trading these cryptocurrencies and I already have an account with TD Ameritrade, so I'm wondering if I can use their platform for this purpose.

- Mohamed AmriMar 22, 2024 · 2 years agoYes, you can use TD Ameritrade as a direct access broker to trade popular cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum. TD Ameritrade offers access to Bitcoin futures contracts through the CME Group, which allows you to trade Bitcoin without actually owning the underlying asset. However, it's important to note that TD Ameritrade does not currently offer direct trading of cryptocurrencies on their platform. So, while you can trade Bitcoin futures, you won't be able to buy or sell actual Bitcoin or Ethereum directly through TD Ameritrade.
