Can the LHR card be used for mining cryptocurrencies?
Is it possible to use the LHR card for mining cryptocurrencies? I've heard that this card has a limited mining capability, but I'm not sure if it's true. Can someone provide more information about this?

- Sérgio Patrício da silvaAug 20, 2024 · 2 years agoYes, the LHR card can be used for mining cryptocurrencies, but its mining capability is limited compared to other GPUs. The LHR (Lite Hash Rate) cards were specifically designed by NVIDIA to limit their mining performance, in order to discourage miners from buying them in bulk. This was done to make more GPUs available for gamers. While you can still mine cryptocurrencies with an LHR card, its hash rate will be lower than the non-LHR versions of the same card. So, if you're serious about mining, it's recommended to use a non-LHR card for better performance.
- Maria RomanovaApr 23, 2024 · 2 years agoAbsolutely! The LHR card is perfectly capable of mining cryptocurrencies. However, it's important to note that NVIDIA has intentionally limited the mining performance of these cards. This means that the hash rate you'll get from an LHR card will be lower compared to other GPUs. If you're planning to mine cryptocurrencies on a large scale, it might be more cost-effective to invest in non-LHR cards that offer higher hash rates. But if you're just getting started or mining as a hobby, the LHR card can still be a viable option.
- Seif Eddine Ben BelahssenJul 26, 2025 · 9 months agoYes, the LHR card can be used for mining cryptocurrencies. However, it's worth noting that the mining performance of LHR cards is intentionally limited by NVIDIA. This means that their hash rate is lower compared to non-LHR cards. If you're looking for maximum mining performance, it's recommended to consider other GPUs. The LHR card is capable of mining cryptocurrencies, but it's important to keep in mind that its mining performance is intentionally limited by NVIDIA. This means that the hash rate you'll get from an LHR card will be lower compared to non-LHR cards. However, if you already have an LHR card or if you're on a budget, it can still be a good option for mining. Just make sure to optimize your mining settings and choose the right cryptocurrencies to mine.
