BitMEX charges a funding fee for leveraged positions, which is based on the leverage used and the interest rate difference between the two underlying assets. It's important to note that the funding fee is not a direct fee charged by BitMEX, but rather an exchange between traders. This fee is typically small and is used to balance the market and ensure fair trading conditions.
