- Radhika NarangFeb 03, 2025 · a year agoCoinbase obtains its supply of bitcoins from a variety of sources. One of the main sources is from individual users who buy and sell bitcoins on the Coinbase platform. When users buy bitcoins, Coinbase holds the bitcoins in their own wallets until the user decides to withdraw them. Additionally, Coinbase also partners with other exchanges and liquidity providers to ensure they have enough bitcoins to meet the demand on their platform. This allows Coinbase to provide a seamless buying and selling experience for their users.
