- namneNov 21, 2025 · 5 months agoSure! Buying Bitcoin on Schwab is not directly possible as Schwab is a traditional brokerage firm and does not offer cryptocurrency trading services. However, you can invest in Bitcoin indirectly through Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) which is available on Schwab's platform. GBTC is a trust that holds Bitcoin and its shares can be bought and sold on the stock market. To invest in GBTC, you need to have a Schwab brokerage account and sufficient funds to purchase the shares. Once you have the account, you can search for GBTC using the ticker symbol and place a buy order like you would for any other stock. Keep in mind that GBTC is not the same as owning Bitcoin directly, but it provides exposure to Bitcoin's price movements.
- Leenaadevi JanagarajanJun 18, 2020 · 6 years agoUnfortunately, Schwab does not currently offer direct Bitcoin trading. However, there are other platforms and exchanges that specialize in cryptocurrency trading. Some popular options include Coinbase, Binance, and Kraken. These platforms allow you to buy Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies directly using fiat currency or other cryptocurrencies. You will need to create an account, complete the verification process, and deposit funds before you can start trading. It's important to do your own research and choose a reputable platform that meets your needs and has a good track record in terms of security and user experience.
- Atreyee SahaDec 28, 2021 · 4 years agoWhile Schwab doesn't offer direct Bitcoin trading, you can explore other options like BYDFi. BYDFi is a decentralized exchange that allows you to buy and sell Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies directly from your wallet. It provides a secure and transparent platform for trading digital assets. To get started with BYDFi, you'll need to connect your wallet, deposit funds, and then you can place buy orders for Bitcoin. Remember to do your own research and understand the risks associated with decentralized exchanges before trading.
