- Adrian Rios CabezasOct 21, 2025 · 8 months agoLimit orders and market orders are two different types of orders used in trading digital currencies. A limit order allows you to set a specific price at which you want to buy or sell a digital currency. This means that the order will only be executed if the market price reaches your specified price. On the other hand, a market order is an order to buy or sell a digital currency at the current market price. It is executed immediately and guarantees that your order will be filled, but the actual price you pay or receive may be different from the current market price. The advantage of a limit order is that it gives you more control over the price at which you buy or sell a digital currency. However, the disadvantage is that there is no guarantee that your order will be filled if the market price does not reach your specified price. On the other hand, a market order guarantees that your order will be filled, but you may end up paying a higher price or receiving a lower price than you expected.
