- Puggaard FrankNov 26, 2025 · 7 months agoSure! When you place a limit order in cryptocurrency trading, you are specifying the maximum price you are willing to buy or sell a particular cryptocurrency. For example, if you want to buy Bitcoin at a lower price, you can set a limit order with a specific price below the current market price. If the market price reaches your specified price, your order will be executed. If not, your order will remain open until the price reaches your limit or you cancel the order. This allows you to have more control over your trades and potentially get a better deal.
- Tadoki093Nov 04, 2023 · 3 years agoA limit order is like telling the exchange, 'I want to buy/sell this cryptocurrency, but only at this specific price or better.' It's a way to set a boundary for your trade. For example, if you want to buy Ethereum at $200, you can place a limit order with that price. If the market price drops to $200 or lower, your order will be executed. However, if the price never reaches $200, your order will remain open until it does or you cancel it. It's a useful tool for traders who want to be more strategic with their trades and avoid buying or selling at unfavorable prices.
