- OnlybullyMar 23, 2023 · 3 years agoIn UTXO (Unspent Transaction Output) model, each transaction creates a new output which becomes the input for the next transaction. This means that the transaction history is represented by a chain of inputs and outputs. On the other hand, account-based models, like Ethereum, use a balance-based approach where the balance of each account is stored and updated directly. The main difference is that UTXO provides more privacy and allows for more complex transaction types, while account-based models offer more simplicity and flexibility in terms of smart contract execution.
- The ZirkNov 07, 2023 · 2 years agoUTXO and account-based models are two different ways of keeping track of transactions in cryptocurrencies. UTXO is used by Bitcoin and some other cryptocurrencies, while account-based models are used by Ethereum and similar platforms. In UTXO, each transaction creates new unspent outputs, which can then be used as inputs in future transactions. This makes it possible to trace the history of each coin. In account-based models, on the other hand, the balance of each account is stored and updated directly. This makes it easier to execute smart contracts and perform complex operations.
- MeghanasrinivasJan 29, 2022 · 4 years agoUTXO, which stands for Unspent Transaction Output, is a model used by Bitcoin and some other cryptocurrencies. In this model, each transaction creates new outputs, which are then used as inputs in future transactions. This creates a chain of inputs and outputs that represents the transaction history. On the other hand, account-based models, like Ethereum, store the balance of each account directly. This allows for easier execution of smart contracts and more flexibility in terms of transaction types. However, UTXO provides better privacy and allows for more complex transaction structures.
