  Back in 2008, bitcoin was still in its early stages and had very little value. It was mainly used by a small group of tech enthusiasts and not widely recognized as a form of currency. At that time, the worth of bitcoin was extremely low, with some sources suggesting that it was less than a cent per bitcoin. It's hard to imagine now, considering the astronomical rise in bitcoin's value over the years.

From there, the value of bitcoin began to rise steadily, eventually reaching the heights we see today.
