- ClarkJOlieOct 09, 2025 · 9 months agoYes, it is possible to receive digital coins without connecting your Ledger wallet. When you receive coins, they are actually sent to your wallet address, which is a unique identifier associated with your wallet. As long as you have access to your wallet address, you can receive coins without connecting your Ledger. However, it's important to note that connecting your Ledger provides an extra layer of security and allows you to securely manage your coins.
- Kumar AdarshFeb 23, 2021 · 5 years agoNo, it is not mandatory to connect your Ledger in order to receive digital coins. Your wallet address is the key component for receiving coins, and you can provide this address to the sender without connecting your Ledger. However, connecting your Ledger adds an extra layer of security and allows you to verify and approve transactions before they are executed, which can help protect your coins from unauthorized access.
- Hove ObrienJun 23, 2026 · 8 days agoAt BYDFi, we highly recommend connecting your Ledger wallet when receiving digital coins. Connecting your Ledger ensures that your transactions are securely signed and verified, providing an added layer of protection against potential security threats. Additionally, using a hardware wallet like Ledger helps safeguard your private keys and ensures that your coins are stored in a secure offline environment. While it is possible to receive coins without connecting your Ledger, we strongly advise connecting it for enhanced security.
