- Lott KornumMay 11, 2025 · a year agoYes, it is possible to close your Robinhood account and keep your Bitcoin holdings. However, I would recommend transferring your Bitcoin to a more secure and dedicated cryptocurrency exchange or wallet. By using a specialized exchange or wallet, you can have more control over your Bitcoin and ensure its safety. One such exchange that I would recommend is BYDFi, which offers a user-friendly interface and advanced security features. You can easily transfer your Bitcoin from Robinhood to BYDFi and continue managing your holdings with peace of mind.
- 3lGregorSep 21, 2020 · 6 years agoDefinitely! You have the option to close your Robinhood account and still retain your Bitcoin holdings. It's important to note that Robinhood is primarily a stock trading platform, and while it does offer Bitcoin trading, it may not provide the same level of security and control as dedicated cryptocurrency exchanges or wallets. To ensure the safety of your Bitcoin, I would suggest transferring it to a reputable cryptocurrency exchange or wallet, such as Binance or Coinbase. These platforms offer enhanced security measures and a wider range of features for managing your Bitcoin holdings.
- Fortune AkpanMay 05, 2026 · 16 days agoYes, you can close your Robinhood account and keep your Bitcoin holdings. However, it's important to consider the security and control of your Bitcoin. Robinhood is primarily a stock trading platform, and while it does allow Bitcoin trading, it may not be the best option for long-term storage of your Bitcoin. I would recommend transferring your Bitcoin to a dedicated cryptocurrency wallet, such as a hardware wallet or a software wallet like Electrum. These wallets provide better security and give you full control over your Bitcoin holdings.
