I've heard that Robinhood offers free stocks to its users. I'm wondering if it's possible to get free stocks on Robinhood by buying cryptocurrencies. Can buying cryptocurrencies on Robinhood qualify me for free stocks? How does this program work?

- praneet rajOct 31, 2020 · 5 years agoYes, it is possible to get free stocks on Robinhood by buying cryptocurrencies. Robinhood has a program called 'Robinhood Crypto' where users can buy and sell cryptocurrencies commission-free. When you sign up for Robinhood Crypto, you become eligible for a free stock. However, the free stock is not directly tied to buying cryptocurrencies. It is a separate promotion that Robinhood offers to new users as a way to incentivize them to join the platform.

When you sign up for Robinhood Crypto, you'll have the opportunity to receive a free stock. However, it's important to note that the free stock is not directly related to buying cryptocurrencies. It's a separate promotion that Robinhood provides to attract new users to their platform.
- Hemanjali PadibandlaOct 23, 2020 · 5 years agoYes, it is possible to get free stocks on Robinhood by buying cryptocurrencies. Robinhood offers a promotion where new users can receive a free stock when they sign up for the platform. This promotion is not limited to buying cryptocurrencies; it applies to all new users who join Robinhood. So, while buying cryptocurrencies on Robinhood won't directly qualify you for a free stock, it does make you eligible to participate in the promotion and potentially receive a free stock.
- Fletcher PedersenMar 20, 2023 · 3 years agoSure, you can get free stocks on Robinhood, but not by buying cryptocurrencies. Robinhood has a referral program where existing users can invite their friends to join the platform. When a new user signs up using a referral link, both the referrer and the new user receive a free stock. So, if you know someone who is already using Robinhood, you can ask them for a referral link and sign up to get a free stock. Buying cryptocurrencies on Robinhood doesn't have any direct connection to this referral program.
- Swain EgebergApr 09, 2024 · 2 years agoYes, it is possible to get free stocks on Robinhood, but not specifically by buying cryptocurrencies. Robinhood occasionally runs promotions where they offer free stocks to new users who sign up for the platform. These promotions are not tied to buying cryptocurrencies and can be available to anyone who meets the eligibility criteria. So, while buying cryptocurrencies on Robinhood won't guarantee you a free stock, it's worth keeping an eye out for any ongoing promotions that Robinhood may be running.
