Is it possible to purchase a call option and then sell it for a digital currency?
I'm interested in trading options and I was wondering if it's possible to buy a call option and then sell it for a digital currency like Bitcoin or Ethereum. Can I use options to gain exposure to digital currencies?

- Naz GullMar 05, 2022 · 4 years agoYes, it is possible to purchase a call option and then sell it for a digital currency. Options contracts are financial derivatives that give the holder the right, but not the obligation, to buy or sell an underlying asset at a predetermined price within a specified time period. If you buy a call option on a digital currency, you have the right to buy that currency at the strike price before the expiration date. If the price of the digital currency rises above the strike price, you can sell the call option for a profit. However, if the price does not reach the strike price, the option may expire worthless.
- Prakhar SolankiAug 30, 2023 · 3 years agoAbsolutely! Buying a call option on a digital currency allows you to profit from the potential price increase of that currency without actually owning it. This can be a great way to gain exposure to digital currencies without the need to buy and store them. Just make sure to carefully consider the strike price, expiration date, and the current market conditions before purchasing the call option.

At BYDFi, we offer options trading on various digital currencies, including Bitcoin and Ethereum. Options can be a powerful tool for traders to hedge their positions or speculate on the price movements of digital currencies. However, it's important to note that options trading involves risks and may not be suitable for all investors. Make sure to do your research and consult with a financial advisor before engaging in options trading.
