- Negative 0o0May 24, 2022 · 4 years agoYes, you can use your Ameritrade account to invest in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Ameritrade offers access to Bitcoin futures contracts through the CME Group. However, it's important to note that Ameritrade does not currently offer direct trading of cryptocurrencies on their platform. You can trade Bitcoin futures contracts, which are regulated financial instruments that allow you to speculate on the price of Bitcoin without actually owning the underlying asset. This can be a good option for investors who want exposure to Bitcoin without the complexities of owning and storing the actual cryptocurrency.

While this may not be the same as owning and trading cryptocurrencies directly, it can still provide exposure to the price movements of Bitcoin.
