- abhijit suryawanshiNov 22, 2023 · 3 years agoYes, there is a maximum gas limit for Ethereum transactions. The current gas limit is set at around 15 million gas. This limit is in place to prevent malicious actors from executing code that consumes excessive gas and disrupts the network. If a transaction exceeds the gas limit, it will fail and the gas used will still be deducted from the sender's account. It's important to note that the gas limit can be adjusted through a network upgrade, but it requires consensus among the Ethereum community.
