  As of now, several countries have implemented Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) and are actively using them. Some of these countries include China, which has launched its digital currency called the Digital Currency Electronic Payment (DCEP); Sweden, which has been testing its digital currency called the e-krona; and the Bahamas, which has introduced the Sand Dollar as its official digital currency.
