- Abtin RohamiAug 24, 2025 · 7 months agoIn cryptocurrency trading, a limit price is the specific price at which you want to buy or sell a cryptocurrency. When you place a limit order, it will only be executed if the market price reaches your specified limit price. This allows you to have more control over the price at which your order is executed. The advantage of using a limit order is that you can potentially get a better price than the current market price. However, the disadvantage is that there is a possibility that your order may not be executed if the market price does not reach your limit price.
- sanaeeljamaliDec 07, 2025 · 3 months agoStop price, on the other hand, is the price at which a stop order becomes a market order. A stop order is used to limit losses or protect profits by triggering a market order when the stop price is reached. For example, if you hold a cryptocurrency and want to sell it if the price drops below a certain level, you can set a stop price for your order. When the market price reaches or falls below your stop price, your stop order will be triggered and executed at the current market price. The advantage of using a stop order is that it can help you minimize losses or lock in profits. However, the disadvantage is that the execution price of a stop order may be different from the stop price due to market volatility.
- Shannen Rica ReyesJun 19, 2021 · 5 years agoBYDFi, a popular cryptocurrency exchange, offers both limit and stop orders for traders. With a limit order, you can set the price at which you want to buy or sell a cryptocurrency, giving you more control over your trades. On the other hand, a stop order can be useful for managing risk and protecting your investments. It is important to understand the differences between these two types of orders and choose the one that best suits your trading strategy and goals.
