- AkhilaNov 30, 2025 · 5 months agoCash App does have some limitations when it comes to on-chain transactions with cryptocurrencies. One of the main limitations is that Cash App only supports a limited number of cryptocurrencies for on-chain transactions. Currently, Cash App only allows users to buy, sell, and hold Bitcoin. This means that if you want to transact with other cryptocurrencies, you will need to use a different platform or exchange. Another limitation is that Cash App does not provide users with a wallet address for their Bitcoin holdings. This means that you cannot directly send Bitcoin from your Cash App account to an external wallet. Instead, you can only buy, sell, and hold Bitcoin within the Cash App ecosystem. If you want to transfer your Bitcoin to an external wallet, you will need to first sell it within Cash App and then withdraw the funds to your bank account, and from there, you can send the funds to your external wallet. These limitations may be inconvenient for users who want more flexibility and control over their cryptocurrency transactions.
