  Short selling cryptocurrencies on TD Ameritrade is not currently supported. TD Ameritrade is primarily a traditional brokerage firm and does not offer direct short selling of cryptocurrencies. However, you can still trade cryptocurrencies on TD Ameritrade through their affiliate platform, ErisX. ErisX offers spot trading and futures trading for cryptocurrencies, but it does not support short selling.
