What is the best way to track cryptocurrency prices in Excel?

Kuznicki DerricottOct 13, 2024 · 10 months ago3 answers

I'm looking for the most effective method to monitor cryptocurrency prices using Excel. Can anyone suggest the best way to do this? I want to be able to track multiple cryptocurrencies and have real-time data updates. Any recommendations?

One of the best ways to track cryptocurrency prices in Excel is by using the CoinMarketCap API. You can import the data directly into your spreadsheet and set up automatic updates. This allows you to monitor multiple cryptocurrencies and have real-time data at your fingertips. Simply follow the API documentation provided by CoinMarketCap to get started. Happy tracking!

If you're not familiar with APIs or prefer a simpler solution, you can use the 'WEBSERVICE' function in Excel to fetch cryptocurrency prices from various websites. Simply find a reliable website that provides cryptocurrency prices and use the function to extract the data. Keep in mind that this method may require some manual setup and may not offer real-time updates. However, it can still be a useful way to track prices in Excel.
