- MUKUNDA REDDY.Jan 07, 2026 · 5 months agoA limit stop order is a type of order placed by a trader to buy or sell a cryptocurrency at a specific price or better. It combines the features of a limit order and a stop order, allowing traders to set a specific price at which they want to buy or sell a cryptocurrency, while also providing protection against potential losses. When the market price reaches the specified price, the limit stop order is triggered and executed. This type of order is commonly used by traders to automate their trading strategies and manage their risk exposure in the volatile cryptocurrency market.
- Lambert SallingJul 23, 2020 · 6 years agoIn simple terms, a limit stop order allows you to set a price at which you want to buy or sell a cryptocurrency. For example, if you believe that the price of Bitcoin will increase to $50,000 and you want to buy it at that price, you can place a limit stop order to automatically execute the trade when the price reaches $50,000. On the other hand, if you already own Bitcoin and want to sell it if the price drops to $40,000 to limit your losses, you can set a limit stop order to sell at that price. This way, you don't have to constantly monitor the market and manually execute the trade.
