It had no value initially, as it was just an experimental digital currency created by an anonymous person or group of people known as Satoshi Nakamoto. However, the first recorded transaction involving Bitcoin took place in May 2010, when someone traded 10,000 Bitcoins for two pizzas. At that time, the value of Bitcoin was estimated to be around $0.003 per coin.
