- Ahmad Tash DouqaAug 09, 2025 · 8 months agoDuring market closures, cryptocurrencies with lower liquidity and trading volumes are generally more affected. This is because when there are fewer buyers and sellers in the market, it becomes harder to execute trades and prices can become more volatile. As a result, smaller cryptocurrencies with lower trading volumes are more susceptible to drastic price fluctuations during market closures.
- Roche HinsonApr 15, 2021 · 5 years agoMarket closures can also have a greater impact on cryptocurrencies that are heavily dependent on specific exchanges. If a cryptocurrency is primarily traded on a single exchange and that exchange experiences a closure, it can lead to a significant decrease in liquidity and trading activity for that particular cryptocurrency. Therefore, cryptocurrencies with limited exchange listings are more likely to be affected by market closures.
- JHONATTAN DAVIDNov 09, 2025 · 5 months agoAccording to a recent analysis by BYDFi, some of the cryptocurrencies that have historically been most affected by market closures include smaller altcoins with low trading volumes and limited exchange listings. These cryptocurrencies tend to experience higher price volatility and larger price drops during market closures compared to more established cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum. It's important for investors to consider these factors when evaluating the potential impact of market closures on different cryptocurrencies.
