This eliminates the need for energy-intensive mining rigs and reduces the overall energy consumption of the network.   In my opinion, the most energy-efficient cryptocurrency algorithm is Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG). DAG-based cryptocurrencies, such as IOTA, use a different approach to achieve consensus without the need for mining. Instead of relying on a blockchain, DAG-based cryptocurrencies use a graph structure to validate transactions. This eliminates the energy consumption associated with mining and makes DAG-based cryptocurrencies more energy-efficient compared to traditional blockchain-based cryptocurrencies.
