Why did Coinbase send me an email if I'm not a user?
I recently received an email from Coinbase, but I have never signed up for an account with them. Why would they send me an email if I'm not a user? Is this some kind of mistake or could there be another reason for this?

- Jistel KmbngJun 16, 2022 · 4 years agoIt's possible that Coinbase sent you an email by mistake. Sometimes, companies accidentally send emails to the wrong recipients due to technical errors or database issues. You can reach out to Coinbase's customer support to clarify the situation and ensure that your personal information is not compromised. They should be able to provide you with more information and assist you in resolving any concerns you may have.
- Lucivide ShawFeb 25, 2026 · 4 months agoCoinbase may have obtained your email address from a third-party source. It's not uncommon for companies to acquire email lists from various sources for marketing purposes. While this practice is generally legal, it can lead to emails being sent to individuals who have never signed up for their services. If you don't want to receive further emails from Coinbase, you can unsubscribe or mark the email as spam.
