Why is my brand new debit card chip not working when I try to make a Bitcoin purchase?

  It's possible that the chip on your brand new debit card is not compatible with the payment system used for Bitcoin purchases. Some payment processors or Bitcoin exchanges may not support chip transactions yet. In this case, you can try using the magnetic stripe on your debit card instead, or contact your bank to inquire about the compatibility of your card with Bitcoin purchases.

Chip readers can sometimes be finicky and may not always read the chip correctly.
