Why is my leverage increasing automatically on BitMEX?

  It's possible that the leverage on your BitMEX account is increasing automatically due to a feature called 'Auto-Deleveraging'. This feature is designed to protect the exchange from liquidation risks by transferring the loss to profitable traders. To stop the automatic leverage increase, you can disable the Auto-Deleveraging feature in your account settings. However, keep in mind that this may increase the risk of liquidation if your positions go against you.

  The automatic leverage increase on BitMEX could be a result of your position size exceeding the available margin. When this happens, the system automatically increases the leverage to maintain the position. To prevent this, you can either reduce your position size or deposit more margin to increase your available funds.
